Kim Bodnia has evolved into one of the most respected actors in Europe. He studied acting at the National Theatre School and had his break-through on cinema with “Nightwatch” (1994), for which he received a Robert Award for Best Supporting Actor from the Danish Film Academy and Best Actor prize from the Festival du Cinéma nordique. He launched definitely his career in 1996 with a lead role in “Pusher”. Kim played in the Oscar winning film “In A Better World”, directed by Susanne Bier (2010). On television, he gained international recognition with the Nordic noir television series “The Bridge”. For his role of “Martin Rohde” he won a Golden Nymph Award in 2014. Kim occasionally writes and directs. He founded his own production companies Bella Entertainment and Bella Film Production. More recently he can be seen in Jon Stewart’s directorial debut, the feature film “Rosewater”.
